Bloomlet: the Norwegian learning platform making student life simpler
- Published 16 September 2026; updated 5 October 2026; estimated reading time 3 minutes. Trondheim-based Bloomlet was founded in 2024 and has eight employees, according to the article. Founder and CEO Linda Lorense Refsnes says her experience juggling law studies and newborn care inspired the idea of making knowledge accessible in an on-demand format. The company has received the Made in Norway label.
- The platform combines the student journey in one workspace through two products: Bloomlet Community supports communication, membership administration, events and registrations for student organisations; Bloomlet Workspace supports individual study, writing and collaboration. The article says the service replaces manual tools and disconnected systems and keeps organisational knowledge available over time.
- AI within Workspace adapts academic material by language, format, length and depth. Refsnes says the system is intended to support learning and independent thought rather than replace them, and that privacy, trust and responsible AI are core design principles. Personalisation follows the student’s workflow from understanding material through writing, knowledge checks and collaboration.
- Bloomlet’s current primary market is Norwegian higher education; development involved students, student groups and educational institutions. The company says it aims to expand across the Nordic region and Europe. It positions the origin label as a way to communicate where digital technology is developed and its privacy/quality principles in a market with large international platforms.
