Blueday Technology: Maritime and land-based innovation for the green transition, Made in Norway
- Published 19 November 2025; updated 25 March 2026; estimated reading time 2 minutes. Blueday Technology was founded in Stavanger in 2013 to help oil-and-gas customers cut energy use through energy-optimisation and power-system technologies. It says it shifted toward climate solutions in 2017 and now provides shore power, charging infrastructure and power-generation systems for maritime and land-based markets. CEO Gunnar Hviding says the company has operated across Scandinavia and Europe for over a decade.
- Two products received the Made in Norway label: BluEco Shore Power System and BluEco Charging System. The company says they are developed in Norway and associates the label with Norwegian origin, quality, innovation and sustainability. It presents itself as helping electrification, fuel savings, emissions reduction and efficiency; these are company claims.
- Blueday says global demand is growing for cleaner, more energy-efficient systems and that the origin label supports trust and differentiation in international markets. It plans to display the label on physical products where relevant, digital channels, sales materials and presentations.
