Jewel uses Norwegian expertise to rethink personal and tactile values
- Published 1 June 2026; updated 2 June 2026; estimated reading time 3 minutes. Jewel (Jewelmade) was established in 2025, launching its website and first point of sale on 22 May. It designs and manufactures premium storage/display products for physical music: five CD designs and seven LP designs. The article frames the business around the continued emotional and identity value of owning physical albums and rising interest in CDs and records.
- Manufacturing, development and sales are based in Norway. The article says all materials are Norwegian except PMMA acrylic from Turkey, natural rubber from France and Norway, and screws from Germany. Founder/CEO Marius Brandl describes Norwegian production as higher cost than mass production elsewhere, while positioning quality and the Made in Norway mark as ways to communicate provenance and standards. Jewel intends to expand in Europe, then potentially Asia and the US.
- Jewel products received the Made in Norway label. The page says the company sees the certification as a quality and credibility signal for design-conscious customers and possibly investors; products are described as patented and registered under the label. The company plans to use the mark on products, packaging, marketing, exhibitions, trade-fair stands, social media and advertising.
