The article profiles three Norwegian agritech products. Desert Control’s Liquid Natural Clay (LNC) is described as a clay, water and local-soil mixture intended to help sandy soil retain water and nutrients. The page says it can cut water use by up to 50%, prepare soil for planting in seven hours rather than years, and improve crop yields. These are company/source claims.

7Sense’s wireless irrigation sensor monitors water flow and reports data to farmers’ phones, with alerts for water loss and control over irrigation timing and amount. Soil Steam International’s mobile machine steams open-field soil to about 30 cm depth. The article says the treatment neutralizes 95–100% of fungi, weed seeds and nematodes and may last up to five years, presenting it as a pesticide-free alternative. Efficacy claims have not been independently evaluated here.

The article sets the technologies against older UN food-demand and desertification projections and discusses soil degradation, water scarcity and pesticide resistance. Those figures are historical estimates from the cited sources and may have been superseded.
