The article describes Photocure, founded in 1997 at the Norwegian Radium Hospital, as a commercial-stage pharmaceutical company focused on bladder cancer and precision diagnostics. Its blue-light cystoscopy product is used alongside standard white-light cystoscopy to assist visualization in patients with known or suspected bladder cancer. The page says German urologists participated in trials leading to European approval and worked with Photocure on training and adoption. Photocure collaborated with KARL STORZ on endoscopic equipment and is developing a high-definition flexible blue-light cystoscopy system with Richard Wolf, with outpatient care as a target use.

Since 2021, Photocure has run a mobile Bladder Cancer Roadshow for hospital and congress training in Germany and Austria. The 2025 tour, together with MSD and Olympus, visited 20 destinations and included local hands-on training and expert exchange. These program and product details are source-page descriptions.

The article cites global bladder-cancer figures for 2022: 614,000 new cases, more than 220,000 deaths, and five-year prevalence of 1,949,000; it says about 75% of cases occur in men. It also cites high recurrence rates. These are dated source figures, not medical guidance.
