Meet Norway’s oncology clinicians at ESMO 2026
Scheduled for 23–27 October 2026 in Madrid, the delegation brings five Oslo University Hospital oncology investigators to meet companies developing oncology programmes and arrange one-to-one discussions about Norwegian clinical-trial sites. Investigators: Åse Bratland (head and neck oncology); Kristina Yvonne Lindemann (gynaecological oncology, research and clinical studies); Vilde Drageset Haakensen (lung-cancer research); Tormod Kyrre Guren (clinical cancer research); and Professor Åslaug Helland (cancer-medicine research, lung cancer, precision oncology). Their coverage includes gynaecological, gastrointestinal, thoracic, head-and-neck cancers, immuno-oncology, biomarkers, and precision medicine, across Phase I–III trials, targeted/immunotherapies, real-world evidence, and registry research.
The page presents Norway’s trial infrastructure as supporting one agreement across multiple hospitals and describes a national clinical-trial portal launched in September 2026 for tracking contract negotiations and study progress. It encourages early investigator engagement to assess site fit, patients, and feasibility, and seeks Phase I–III, precision-oncology, immuno-oncology/targeted-therapy, real-world evidence, registry-based, and Nordic-expansion programmes. Organizers: Innovation Norway and NorTrials. Contacts: Signe Øien Fretland, Head of NorTrials coordinating unit (sigfre@ous-hf.no); Rasmus Malmborg, Innovation Norway health/life-science investment manager (rasmus.malmborg@innovasjonnorge.no); and Jannik Grodt Schmidt (jannik.grodt.schmidt@innovationnorway.no). The page links to radiopharma and an article on alpha therapy/radiopharmaceuticals.
