Green Maritime kick-off
- Listing gives 9 November 2023, 09:00–10:35 GMT, and links the event to maritime industry. The Norwegian-language page describes the in-person kick-off as taking place during the Shipbuilding Conference at Scandic Parken Hotel in Ålesund on 8 November at 11:55, with a public livestream the following day at 09:00; the date/time presentation therefore distinguishes the physical event from the stream.
- This was the launch of Norway’s national “More and Greener Maritime Exports” initiative, part of the “All of Norway Exports” reform launched by Trade and Industry Minister Jan Christian Vestre in March 2022. Led by Innovation Norway, it aims to align maritime companies, government and support agencies to position Norwegian suppliers in priority markets. Partners listed: Innovation Norway and Norsk Industri.
- Programme: national initiative’s markets/focus/priorities (Kathrine Myhre, National Export Council, and Anne Britt Høydal, Innovation Norway); Norwegian maritime exports, products and markets (Erik Jacobsen, Menon); and Norwegian technology/design for the Paris 2024 Olympics (Bård Eker, Hyke). StudioVerft 1 discussion asked how to grow exports from an already export-oriented maritime industry and include all firms; moderator Arne-Kjetil Lian, with Amrit Bhullar (VARD), Bård Bjørløw (Kongsberg Maritime), Håkon Skjerstad (Azane Fuel Solutions) and Ola Hjukse (Hyke). StudioVerft 2 discussed public-private cooperation and Team Norway’s support; moderated by Kirsti Slotsvik (GCE Blue Maritime), with Solveig Frøland (Eksfin), Jonathan Sørbye (Innovation Norway), Kirsten Hammelbo (Foreign Ministry) and Stål Heggelund (Norsk Industri).
