Norway Pavilion and delegation at WindEurope Annual Event 2024
- Event ran 19–22 March 2024 at Bilbao Exhibition Center, Spain. Industries: offshore wind and energy. Partners: Innovation Norway, Norwegian Energy Partners, Royal Norwegian Embassy in Madrid, Norwegian Offshore Wind Cluster, GCE Ocean Technology and GCE Blue Maritime. - Team Norway offered a binding delegation registration and Norway Pavilion/networking programme to showcase Norwegian offshore-wind technology. A WindEurope visitor pass was required to attend BEC events; delegates could contact Minna Crozier after registering for a discount on WindEurope non-member exhibition-only tickets. Travel, hotels and fair passes were participants’ responsibility. No delegation/pavilion fee shown. Links to WindEurope and accommodation information provided.
- Programme (Bilbao time): 19 Mar, Pintxos networking at Café Iruña, 20:00–22:00. 20 Mar, “Sailing Towards Sustainable Horizons” workshop 14:00–17:00 at BEC Atrium 3, led by Norwegian Energy Partners and Blue Maritime Cluster on maritime experience/solutions/lessons in wind-farm installation and operation; speakers Ketil Arvesen (Fred. Olsen Windcarrier), Ute Borghardt (Eksfin) and Ward Gommeren (GE Renewable Energy). Team Norway reception at San Mamés Stadium 20:00–22:00. 21 Mar, Norwegian Offshore Wind workshop on demonstration projects/supply chains, 11:00–13:00; floating-wind operations solutions workshop 14:00–16:30, led by Norwegian Energy Partners and GCE Ocean Technologies on lessons/challenges; Pavilion social business mixer 16:30–18:00. Responsible-business/ESG and due-diligence conditions applied.
