RESOURCE / PUBLIC SOURCE RECORD
General events terms and conditions
- Standard agreement terms for Innovation Norway events. Registration is made through the designated registration site unless instructed otherwise and becomes binding only after written confirmation. Late registrations may incur extra costs. If demand exceeds event capacity, Innovation Norway may select participants for a suitable group or require a company to reduce its places; for confirmed participants affected, it refunds the applicable participation fee and covers documented travel/accommodation costs.
- A participant who cancels, does not attend or cannot attend remains liable for the fee. A fee may be refunded, less a cancellation charge, if a replacement participant is accepted and the change is practicable; Innovation Norway need not find a replacement. Innovation Norway may postpone/cancel for low registration, refunding fees but not participant expenses. Force majeure may trigger cancellation/postponement with participants liable for their share of costs incurred so far; event interruptions beyond Innovation Norway’s control do not create refund/compensation rights.
- Participants are responsible for damage caused by themselves, staff or products and must insure their personnel and goods; Innovation Norway disclaims responsibility for theft and event-related injury/property damage. It has zero tolerance for discrimination, harassment and other offensive conduct, which may result in exclusion and potential legal/damages liability. If the event is paid, invoice payment is due within 30 calendar days; overdue interest and tax-related price adjustments may apply.
- Other provisions: personal-data handling is described in Innovation Norway’s privacy declaration and legal-entity participants must inform attending staff; material breach permits termination after written notice and a reasonable cure period; indirect damages are excluded and liability generally capped at the contract price/estimate excluding VAT, with gross-negligence/wilful-misconduct exceptions. Parties must uphold ethics and corporate responsibility, avoid corruption, human-rights and labour violations, and avoid harm to communities/environment; violation allows immediate termination. The Norwegian version prevails in a language conflict; Innovation Norway may request evaluation surveys; Norwegian law governs, with unresolved disputes heard in the court where Innovation Norway is domiciled.
