From the public capture. Detailed factual notes from Business Norway. Statements and figures reflect the source at the time of capture.

  • Innovation Norway’s report covers Norway’s international media, reputation and competitiveness in 2024. It says Norway ranked 12th in the Nation Brands Index. Coverage centred on politics, sport and royal-family events, especially in the US, Germany, Sweden and Denmark; topics included Ukraine, humanitarian aid, gas supply, renewables and Palestine. Most coverage was neutral.
  • Norway scored well on governance, sustainability, quality of life, human development and inclusion, while export diversification beyond oil and gas, trade, product recognition and cultural influence were weaker. Its reputation improved most for perceptions of people and tourism; G7 perceptions were more favourable than BRICS. Products and services were seen as high quality but costly.
  • Suggested actions for exporters: position clearly, understand Norway associations in target markets, connect them to customer choice and communicate them. The page shows rankings last updated 27 February 2026: Nation Brands Index 2025, 11th of 50; World Competitiveness Ranking, 12th of 69; World Talent Ranking 2025, 15th of 67. A report download is offered.
