From the public capture. Detailed factual notes from Business Norway. Statements and figures reflect the source at the time of capture.

  • Innovation Norway’s report reviews Norway’s international media presence, national reputation and competitiveness. It says Norway remained widely associated with transparency, sound governance, sustainability, peace and quality of life, all of which can support Norwegian companies abroad. Total media coverage dipped slightly, but high-impact stories increased. Coverage focused on energy, shipping, defence, seafood and geopolitics; social-media engagement rose around travel, nature, the Nobel Peace Prize and popular culture. The overall media image was neutral to moderately positive.
  • Norway rose to 11th in the 2025 Anholt Nation Brands Index. Awareness remains low in some regions, but people familiar with the country tend to view it favourably. Norwegian products and services are associated with quality and responsibility, though often considered expensive. Anholt & Co founder Simon Anholt says the index views Norway as a key responsible power.
  • The report describes strengths in governance, sustainability, inclusion and quality of life, with positive perceptions of education, research and talent attraction. It identifies export diversification, commercial visibility and cultural influence as continuing weaknesses; Norway remains strongly associated with energy, so companies should build recognition for solutions beyond oil and gas.
  • Recommended exporter actions are to define export and employer-brand positioning, understand associations in target markets, connect those associations to customer decision factors, and communicate them actively. The page says effective use of Norwegian origin can help win export business and attract talent.
  • Rankings shown on the page, each last updated 27 February 2026: Nation Brands Index 2025, 11th of 50; World Competitiveness Ranking, 12th of 69; World Talent Ranking 2025, 15th of 67. A Norwegian-language report link and a Made in Norway label overview are provided. The label is described as a registered trademark for authentically Norwegian products and services, intended to build on positive perceptions and improve international competitiveness.
  • No page-specific contact cards, event listings or participation fees are displayed.
