Terms and conditions for incoming delegations
- Standard terms govern participation in Innovation Norway (IN) delegations, including business delegations and trade missions. They may also apply to delegations without participation fees. A participant is a legal entity accepted by IN; the agreement includes these terms plus the delegation description.
- Registration normally occurs through the stated registration site. IN must approve both organisations and their representatives, and only eligible companies may participate. Registration becomes binding after written confirmation. Late registrations may incur additional costs caused by lateness.
- If registrations exceed capacity, IN may prioritise participants to create a suitable group or ask companies with multiple registrants to choose who attends. If IN had confirmed participation, affected places receive a fee refund and IN covers documented travel/accommodation expenses.
- A participant who withdraws, chooses not to attend or is prevented from attending remains liable for the participation fee. If a replacement participant is accepted and the change is practical, IN refunds the fee less a cancellation charge for its change costs. IN need not find a replacement.
- IN may postpone/cancel for insufficient enrolment; it refunds fees but not participant travel, accommodation, other expenses or extra work. For force majeure or the absence of essential public figures, IN may postpone/cancel and is not liable; participants cover the portion of the fee corresponding to IN’s costs already incurred. Service interruptions outside IN’s control do not entitle participants to compensation or fee refunds.
- Participants are responsible for damage or injury caused by them, their staff or products and must pay for repairs. IN disclaims responsibility for theft or injury/damage during a delegation; participants must insure staff and goods. IN states zero tolerance for discrimination, harassment and other improper conduct; violations may lead to exclusion, criminal liability and/or damages liability.
- Fees are due according to invoices. IN sets the fee on the registration site but reserves the right to adjust it for currency changes or unforeseen costs. It may require advance payment and invoice final costs once known. Missed payment deadlines may forfeit the place; overdue amounts may accrue statutory late-payment interest.
- IN may publish company names and public information, plus representatives’ names and job titles, on the registration site and relevant delegation websites. It may share employee contact/other information with collaborating organisations for delivery. Its privacy declaration applies; participants must inform attending personnel about personal-data processing.
- Breach requires prompt written notice; material breach may permit termination after notice and a reasonable remedy period. Indirect losses are excluded, and total damages are capped at the contract price (excluding VAT) or agreed estimate, except for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
- Parties commit to high ethical standards and avoiding corruption, human-rights violations, poor working conditions, and harm to local communities or the environment. Either party may immediately end the relationship for breach of this ethics clause. In conflicts between English and Norwegian versions, the Norwegian text prevails. Participants may be asked to take IN or funder surveys. Norwegian law applies; unresolved disputes go to Norwegian courts at IN’s domicile.
