From the public capture. Detailed factual notes from Business Norway. Statements and figures reflect the source at the time of capture.

  • Page heading: “Terms and conditions for Business Norway”; dated 1 March 2021. It says the platform was formerly called The Explorer.
  • Purpose: a digital marketplace for Norwegian green/sustainable solutions, aimed at an international audience and intended to connect Norwegian providers with potential buyers, investors and other businesses. The terms say it is intended for enterprises doing business in Norway or interested in doing so. Registration requires acceptance of Innovation Norway (IN)’s terms; IN decides whether to accept or deny registrants.
  • Accounts and responsibility: registered enterprises are responsible for their account content, including public information. IN says it supervises accounts to some extent and may suspend or close them. IN disclaims liability for losses arising from use of the platform, cooperation initiated through it, or account closure/inaccessibility.
  • Content maintenance: enterprises must keep account and contact information updated. If not updated at least yearly, IN may remind the enterprise and eventually close the account and delete its content.
  • Copyright and intellectual property: enterprises are responsible for rights to submitted photos, text, audio, images and other materials and for giving attribution where required. They permit listed images and other referenced intellectual works to be used in marketing consistent with the platform’s stated purpose. They must indemnify IN for claims/losses arising from breach of the content-rights clause.
  • Fees: the service is stated to be free “as per now”; IN may introduce charges with reasonable notice. Enterprises bear their own account-management costs.
  • Personal data: enterprises submitting names, contact information or photos must have a lawful basis; the example given is consent from an employee whose details are entered by the company. IN’s general privacy declaration applies to data it processes.
  • Transfers, changes and governing law: IN may transfer or merge its platform rights, including account content, to a third party; registered enterprises should receive reasonable notice of term changes. Norwegian law governs and Oslo courts are named as venue.
  • Revision history shown: original publication 31 May 2018; updates 1 February 2019 (eligibility and copyright), 6 May 2019 (international matchmaking), and 1 March 2021 (expanded platform scope). This page is a legal document; consult its current text for exact operative language.
