From the public capture. Detailed factual notes from Business Norway. Statements and figures reflect the source at the time of capture.

  • Published 10 March 2026 and updated 23 March 2026. Aker Solutions offers three floating foundations designed for harsh offshore sites and turbines of 15 MW or larger: YFloat, a steel semisubmersible intended for prefabrication and local assembly; CONFloat-Omega, a circular concrete floater with a central moonpool; and CONFloat-7C, a seven-cell concrete structure based on CONDEEP experience. All use sealed passive ballast and aim to simplify production and operations.
  • The page says deep-water wind projects face fabrication and installation costs, fatigue issues and constrained supply chains. The foundations are intended for serial fabrication, reduced material use, lower maintenance, robust performance and long asset life. Steel or concrete options can suit local ports, yards and environmental requirements. The Windstaller Alliance adds transport and installation for turbine floaters, moorings and inter-array cables.
  • The products are marked available worldwide. The page points to expected demand in Europe and Asia as developers move into deeper water and links to case studies and UN goals 7, 9 and 12.
