Askin provides digital dermatology care within 24 hours
- Published 20 June 2023 and updated 21 September 2026. Askin provides teledermatology through video appointments and asynchronous consultations based on images submitted by patients or healthcare professionals. It says users receive a response within 24 hours, potentially including a treatment plan, prescription or referral. Chronic-care users may subscribe for follow-up.
- The page says skin complaints account for up to 20% of Norwegian GP consultations and that access is constrained by specialist queues and dermatologist shortages. Askin positions its private service as a complement to public healthcare, with remote access reducing waits and travel. It says prices are around one-third those of traditional private dermatologists, and highlights electronic payment, confidentiality and secure login. It also stresses timely assessment of possible skin cancer.
- The company expected Swedish expansion followed by wider international rollout; the “soon” wording may be outdated. It says it is experimenting with AI for acne care. The page links the service to UN goal 3.
