From the public capture. Detailed factual notes from Business Norway. Statements and figures reflect the source at the time of capture.

  • Published 21 February 2023 and updated 30 September 2026. Axess bundles topside cable pull-in, termination and testing for offshore wind turbines and substations under one contract, acting as the single contractor for this part of subsea-cable installation. It designs and builds its own pull-in equipment in 8–30 tonne capacities, available to rent or buy, and says bespoke equipment can suit each operation.
  • The page says cable failures account for many wind-farm insurance claims and that reducing supplier interfaces can lower project risk and capital costs. Separating cable installation tasks lets cable-laying-vessel operators focus on vessel work, reduces vessel time and emissions, and may prevent cable damage and material waste.
  • Axess reports building and operating a cable pull-in system for Equinor’s Hywind Tampen floating wind farm. It targets cable contractors, manufacturers and export-cable contractors in Asia-Pacific, Europe and the US, with offices across these markets. The page cites projected 2030 installations of 63,200 km of inter-array cables and 40,000 km of export cables. Links to UN goals 7, 9 and 12.
