  • Published 29 June 2022 and updated 30 September 2026. Bandak makes hydraulic tensioners for M14–M140 bolts in both fixed-bottom and floating offshore wind installations. Tensioning is presented as more precise than conventional torque tightening, reducing maintenance and downtime; the tools are lightweight for harsh offshore assembly and can be customised for confined spaces. The listing says systems are produced to order.
  • Wind turbines contain about 25,000 bolts, and the page stresses accurate tightening to handle heavy loads and weather. A multiple-bolt tensioner can pretension 16 bolts simultaneously. Bandak cites earlier oil-and-gas projects where its tools reduced installation time from 70 to 19 hours on two Norwegian Continental Shelf platforms.
  • The company says reduced installation and maintenance time may lower costs and improve turbine availability. Founded in 1938, Bandak supplies energy, maritime and industrial sectors with machining, welding, grinding, thermal coating, assembly and testing. It says it has provided hydraulic tensioning tools since 1966. The page links to UN goal 7 and cites an older projection of a USD 1 trillion offshore-wind industry.
