Bember’s TRM tool slashes carbon footprint of energy-intensive buildings
- Published 4 March 2024; updated 28 September 2026; 3-minute read. Bember’s cloud-based Tenant Relationship Management (TRM) platform connects building systems and data silos, regardless of their existing software or hardware, to help commercial-property owners manage energy use, cost and emissions. The solution includes Bember SaaS and a Connector Box manufactured by Siemens. Bember initially targets grocery stores and supermarkets, where refrigeration, freezer rooms, de-icing and EV charging add substantial energy demand.
- The article says buildings account for 30% of global energy consumption and 26% of energy emissions, and that the largest 5% of buildings account for 20% of the built environment’s carbon footprint. The platform provides a view of building systems, supports corrective actions such as adjusting refrigerated-case temperatures, automates cost reporting and enables multi-site benchmarking. Bember says it accesses systems across silos and designs around end-user needs.
- The company is partnering with Siemens for international expansion, initially targeting Austria, Germany and Switzerland, then North America. The article links the product to UN SDG 11. Availability is listed for the Americas and Europe; categories include technology and proptech.
