  • Published 13 December 2022; updated 21 September 2026; 3-minute read. Bliksund’s EWA electronic patient record system supports ambulance and other emergency services. It combines an ambulance tablet app, a real-time emergency-department display and a medical-record server, and integrates with emergency medical communication centres. Hospital teams can see incoming patient status and records, triage and prepare care; video consultation and chat let field staff seek specialist advice. The article says EWA was selected by all Norwegian ambulance services, including air ambulance.
  • The page says EWA was shaped by emergency workers’ input and can automatically enter vital signs such as oxygen level and ECG results, reducing manual record work and freeing staff to focus on care. Bliksund’s other products listed are GRID operational management and IncidentShare live video; it also reports the acquisition of Dutch crash-recovery company Moditech. Bliksund was established in 2010. The article cites a historical forecast of USD 47 billion for the electronic-health-record market by 2027. Linked UN SDG: 3.
