From the public capture. Detailed factual notes from Business Norway. Statements and figures reflect the source at the time of capture.

  • Published 26 October 2022; updated 30 September 2026; 2-minute read. Bridgehill makes a 6 × 8 metre fire blanket rated by the article to withstand 1,000°C for 48 hours. Two people pull it over a burning vehicle to contain flames and fumes. The professional reusable model is aimed at fire departments; a single-use version is offered for car parks, ferries and repair shops.
  • The article says the blanket contains smoke and toxic products of combustion, can reduce the need for water and associated contaminated run-off, and is used for both combustion-engine and electric vehicles. It claims an ICE vehicle fire can be extinguished in 10–15 seconds; for EV fires it says the blanket contains the fire while it burns out over 24–48 hours or until firefighters use water. These are claims reported by the company profile. The page says 70% of Norwegian fire departments and over 100 German departments use the blankets, with main markets in Europe and North America. Linked UN SDGs: 3 and 11.
