Bulbitech eye and neurological disease diagnostics
- Published 12 January 2024; updated 5 October 2026; 3-minute read. Bulbitech’s system combines BulbiCAM, a medically certified AI-powered eye tracker that records eye movement 400 times per second, with BulbiHUB, a cloud platform that analyses readings and can incorporate data from other medical devices. A headset exam takes about one minute, is non-invasive, and can be administered by staff after two days of training.
- The article says the system measures functional eye movement and pupil-response changes that may precede visible structural damage. It lists support for ophthalmology screening/monitoring of glaucoma, cataract, age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy, and neurology assessment of Parkinson’s disease and ataxia. It reports 15 measurement functions and over 30 biomarkers, with studies to expand the range. The page says early Parkinson’s trial results looked promising but awaited publication; it stated FDA application would follow publication. European users named include the UK, Denmark, Netherlands, Spain, Croatia and Norway, with Cardiff and Oslo University Hospital listed as research partners.
- The article cites a global diagnostic-testing market estimate of USD 180 billion and a USD 349 billion forecast for 2030, and quotes a company goal to sell over 25,000 units. Medical efficacy and market figures here are the article’s claims. Linked UN SDG: 3.
