From the public capture. Detailed factual notes from Business Norway. Statements and figures reflect the source at the time of capture.

  • Published 22 March 2023; updated 30 September 2026; 2-minute read. CaptureMap identifies European industrial emission sites, estimates capturable CO₂ and supports assessment of carbon-capture-and-storage projects. Its interactive dashboard combines public and private sources and allows users to filter by sector, distance to ports, theoretical capture share, sailing distance to storage terminals, emissions clusters and EU ETS data. The product runs on Microsoft Power BI and is available through browsers or mobile apps.
  • The page positions the tool as filling a data gap that can slow CCS project development and says data is continually updated. It reports use by major industrial players including Equinor. Potential customers listed include energy companies, capture/transport-equipment suppliers, industrial emitters, researchers, NGOs and public authorities. Linked UN SDGs: 9 and 13.
