From the public capture. Detailed factual notes from Business Norway. Statements and figures reflect the source at the time of capture.

  • Published 10 July 2023; updated 21 September 2026; 3-minute read. Colifast ALARM is an automated, remote system that tests fresh water for E. coli, total coliforms and faecal coliforms. It draws a representative 100 mL sample at the source, detects down to 1 cfu/100 mL and returns results within 15 hours without requiring laboratory facilities or microbiology expertise. It can monitor for up to 21 days without human interaction, and send results over GSM, PLC/SCADA or LAN.

  • The article says continuous on-site testing can give earlier warnings than conventional lab workflows and reduce errors associated with manual sampling, transport and preparation. It describes deployments including raw-water testing in Barcelona, faecal-pollution monitoring in a remote Brazilian town and production-water monitoring at a Turkish car factory. Colifast reports more than 30 years of experience and over 50 installed systems worldwide. The page cites a USD 5.5 billion projected global water-testing market by 2027 and links a related Colifast CALM profile.
