  • Published 1 December 2022; updated 23 March 2026; 3-minute read. Decon-X mobile robots and fixed DX3 installations disperse a dry hydrogen-peroxide mist through closed rooms. The company says the process eliminates 99.9999% of viruses, bacteria and spores, leaves oxygen and water, and takes one to four hours. Sensors and software monitor the automated process, provide live status through a customer portal and document when the room is safe to re-enter. Products are intended for hospitals, ambulances, veterinary clinics, food production and other hygiene-sensitive facilities. A full-service subscription bundles equipment technology, consumables, service and support for a monthly fee; the page gives no amount.

  • The article presents the system as a no-touch alternative to toxic chemicals that can free healthcare staff for patient care. It says the robots are developed and manufactured in Norway and certified to NS-EN 17272:2020. Decon-X reports more than 350 robots in use in Northern Europe and 10,000 rooms disinfected annually in 2024. The company is headquartered in Oslo and has partners in Denmark, Germany, Spain and Sweden. A 30-month Nofima study is said to confirm listeria removal in food-production facilities. A testimonial from Fredrikstad Animal Hospital is included.
