DignaCare sensor-based incontinence care
Published 29 October 2025; updated 23 March 2026; 2-minute read. DignaCare is a reusable, non-invasive, CE-marked sensor that attaches to the outside of a diaper. It detects wetness and sends caregivers app alerts when a change is needed, supporting care based on a person’s needs instead of fixed schedules. SensCom says the device can improve dignity, reduce sleep interruptions and unnecessary interventions, and ease physical strain and stress for care staff.
The page says municipalities can reduce diaper changes, laundry and resource use. Lower consumption of disposable diapers, water, energy and detergents is presented as reducing climate impact. DignaCare is in use in Norway and Sweden; the company is developing predictive alerts. A testimonial from an Oslo nursing-home manager says it improved residents’ sleep and let staff focus on more meaningful care tasks.
