Dory long-life e-paper signs
Published 21 April 2026; updated 23 April 2026; 2-minute read. Dory makes flexible e-paper signs for places where information changes. The signs use ultra-low-energy e-ink, need no wiring and are updated through a companion app; users can choose ready-made designs or upload their own. A small bracket supports portrait or landscape mounting. The article says a battery can last up to 15 years, while an image caption says up to 20 years; both claims appear on the page.
Dory is presented as a long-life alternative to disposable static signage, reducing replacements and material waste. Household uses include messages and schedules; professional uses include rentals, hotels, care facilities, offices, campuses and transport hubs. The product is CalmTech Platinum certified and won the 2025 European Product Design Award. The company estimates 63 billion doors worldwide, 7.2 billion suitable use cases and an initial serviceable market of 20 million doors. A Boston Children’s Hospital testimonial is included.
