  • Brødrene Hukkelberg makes fully electric aluminum high-speed workboats for professional use, based on diesel models. The company says it reduced vessel weight while preserving strength to offset battery weight. Applications include personnel transport, search and rescue, surveying, ROV inspection, surface-supplied diving and law enforcement.
  • The page says electric boats have higher initial cost but can repay it through fuel savings and lower operating costs, while helping operators meet corporate and regulatory sustainability goals. Each workboat is custom-built with customer input. A pictured Flying Fish 37 uses an Evoy propulsion system.
  • IMO and EU emissions targets are described as growing drivers for green maritime technology. Hukkelberg was founded in 1938 as a family business, initially building and repairing fishing boats, and moved into high-speed workboats in the early 1990s. SDG 9 shown.
