Kongsberg Maritime systems for offshore wind installation vessels

- Kongsberg Maritime’s wind-turbine installation-vessel package integrates dynamic positioning with propulsion, energy control and sensors, plus engines, electrical systems and batteries, deck machinery, and control and safety systems. The integrated systems are designed to position vessels precisely under heavy loads. Shipyards may reduce engineering, cabling and installation work; designers can coordinate with Kongsberg to free space and reduce vessel weight.
- The battery-hybrid electrical system uses ThrustAllocator and PowerBoost functions to reduce the number of engines running and fuel needed for crane work and dynamic positioning. The solution can also regenerate power from jacking systems and cranes. EcoAdvisor is an onboard advisory system intended to reduce downtime and environmental footprint.
- Worker safety is addressed through vessel/crane positioning and access to current operational data.
