LCA.no tools for life-cycle assessment and environmental declarations

- LCA.no provides cloud-based tools for product and organizational life-cycle assessments, greenhouse-gas accounting, Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), and transport impact calculations for construction materials. Tools are modular, customizable, based on research data and standardized methods, and intended for non-experts.
- The EPD Generator lets companies enter product composition, transport, energy use and production waste; the system calculates impacts in EPD format and provides third-party verification. Shared input data can support multiple outputs, including EPDs, emissions accounting and value-chain assessments. An additional module automates analyses to identify paths toward more sustainable production.
- The article says companies and public institutions face growing demand for environmental documentation, while manual assessment can be time-consuming and expensive. The tools use ISO-standardized methodology and are presented as applicable to nearly all company types and public institutions worldwide.
