MIXMOVE cloud solution for logistics improves capacity utilisation
- Published October 20, 2022; updated September 21, 2026; estimated reading time 2 minutes. Category: Maritime.
- MIXMOVE is a collaborative cloud platform for logistics data, intended to connect existing systems and improve capacity use and item-level visibility. It automatically analyses truck cargo orders, rearranges them and reconstructs the orders so goods can reach their next destination more efficiently. It connects suppliers and logistics providers on one platform and lets teams track, predict and analyse logistics events at item level, then adjust plans dynamically.
- The article says road transport moves 72% of European goods; one in five trucks is empty and other trucks are on average half full. It also cites congestion and pollution linked to e-commerce. MIXMOVE says its optimisation can increase transported volumes while reducing logistics costs by up to 35% and transport greenhouse-gas emissions by up to 50%, equivalent to a stated 124 megatons of carbon saved. It can integrate with TMS, WMS, ERP and other supply-chain systems, and is said to raise cargo-hub efficiency by up to 50% by reducing emergency hiring, inbound processing time and warehouse dispatch areas.
- The article estimates 40% of Europe’s road-transport capacity is unused, representing EUR 100 billion in idle resources, mainly due to poor load-unit optimisation. It says MIXMOVE serves clients in 20 countries and handles over 2 million units monthly; named customers include DHL, 3M and Volkswagen. SDGs 9 and 11 shown.
