- Netto is a cloud-based, API-driven platform for banks and property owners. It assesses building energy performance, green-loan eligibility, climate and transition risk, helps create transition plans and supports sustainability regulation and reporting. It integrates with banks’ existing systems and customer journeys and uses APIs and real-time data to support lending decisions.
- The article says buildings account for 40% of global emissions. It presents banks as needing to shift lending toward efficient buildings to meet tightening rules and reduce climate risk, though current evaluations are described as slow, data-poor and risky. Netto aims to make older, high-risk buildings viable green assets, expand green lending, reduce exposure to stranded property and guide relationship managers and ESG teams. The expected environmental effect is faster efficiency upgrades and more financing for sustainable assets.
- The page says European banks hold over EUR 1.4 trillion in commercial-real-estate loans. Netto is active in Norway, supports over 5 million m² of buildings and is expanding across the EU and UK. A testimonial is attributed to Maria Archontoulis, Head of Startup Partnerships at DNB, explaining the bank selected Netto for its 2024 DNB NXT Accelerator due to its team and climate-relevant topic. Linked cases cover the accelerator selection and five ways Netto supports the green transition in Norwegian banking and property. SDGs 9, 11 and 12 shown.
