  • Published 22 March 2023; updated 30 September 2026; estimated reading time 2 minutes. Listed under Battery, Energy, Smart cities, Transportation and Made in Norway.
  • Paxster offers an all-electric compact vehicle for on-street parking enforcement. It is designed for stop-and-go use, has a narrow body and very small turning radius, and a semi-open cab without doors to speed entry and exit. Equipment includes warning lamps and a panic button; an optional automatic number-plate recognition camera lets officers scan plates from their seat.
  • The Delivery 1000L and Cargo 1250L versions both have 240 kg capacity. The vehicle is about 2.3 metres long, with stated normal range of 80–100 km and maximum speed of 45–60 km/h. The page describes it as built in Norway for rough road and weather conditions and says it includes PaxsterConnect fleet management through an open API.
  • The article describes rising parking demand and the cost and labour involved in walking between cars to check payment, sometimes disrupting traffic. Paxster says its vehicle may improve enforcement productivity and parking revenue; some customers reportedly increased productivity by more than 40% over conventional vehicles. It also claims lower electricity consumption and operating costs than larger electric vehicles or internal-combustion vehicles.
  • The page says parking management exists in nearly all European towns and cities and cites 1,200 parking-enforcement vehicles in Norway. It identifies Europe, especially cities and municipalities, as Paxster’s main market and notes public-sector interest in electric vehicles for urban sustainability.
  • Linked to SDG 3 (Good health and well-being) and SDG 11 (Sustainable cities and communities) for reduced air/noise pollution and urban parking management.
